At 5 yrs old, Daniel Safari Katheku lost his leg to a cobra bite. After spending 8 months in a coma his leg was amputated.
20 years later he is training in the USA for the Paralympics and is the first Paralympic Alpine skier from Kenya.
Daniel is a high-jumper, and professional futbol player who speaks English, Swahili, Turkish, and Spanish.
He is currently training with the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah.
