Twila Adams

From 1980 to 1991, Twila Adams served in the U.S. Army, which included active duty in Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

About

Two years later, with a manicurist and instructor license under her belt, she provided mobile nail care services to seniors and those with disabilities who had been confined to their homes. She’s now happily retired after 27 years of owning the business, Holistic Nail Care Services.
In 1994, after an automobile accident paralyzed her from the neck down, Twila fought to regain some normalcy in her life, despite the gloomy prognosis. Eight years later, Twila beat all odds, becoming an adaptive athlete in 2002. Today, she continues to travel across the country, competing in several wheelchair sports. Twila also serves on several local and national veteran organization boards and committees, and still finds times to inspire audiences as a motivational

2021 gold medal winner javelin, shot put, discus, pickleball, bocce, cornhole, air rifle; silver in tennis, table tennis; 2020 silver in golf, bronze billiards; 2019 NVWG Spirit of the Games winner. Medal winner over the past 13 yrs in various competitions throughout the U.S.
