Two years later, with a manicurist and instructor license under her belt, she provided mobile nail care services to seniors and those with disabilities who had been confined to their homes. She’s now happily retired after 27 years of owning the business, Holistic Nail Care Services. In 1994, after an automobile accident paralyzed her from the neck down, Twila fought to regain some normalcy in her life, despite the gloomy prognosis. Eight years later, Twila beat all odds, becoming an adaptive athlete in 2002. Today, she continues to travel across the country, competing in several wheelchair sports.
