Disability Advocate Vince Staskel Receives Prestigious Nomination

Vince Staskel, who is disabled, was recognized specifically for his dedicated work in promoting performers and creatives with disabilities in the entertainment industry.
Retired Disability Rights Advocate and ADA Consultant Vince Staskel has recently been nominated for his noble leadership qualities and support for the disabled community. The nomination was named by the San Franciso-based Diversability organization, which selects 30 disability leaders from around the world.

Staskel, who is disabled, was recognized specifically for his dedicated work in promoting performers and creatives with disabilities in the entertainment industry.

There were over 300 submissions and the final 30 disability leaders will be selected by their Selection Committee in July 2023.

For over thirty years, Vince Staskel worked diligently and tirelessly in the not-for-profit, governmental, legal, and business sectors of the disabled community.

A former podcast producer of 45 episodes for Able Pathways Media, Staskel served on the Advisory Board in the development of [with]tv - a fully inclusive cable TV channel.

As a heralded voice for disabled actors, Staskel also served on the Board of Directors of the Classic TV Preservation Society 501(c) nonprofit organization. He is the co-admin. and social media publicist for the Trained Actors with Real Disabilities for Film & TV Facebook Page founded by actress, screenwriter, and producer Eileen Grubba.

Staskel has penned the Foreword to Harout Markarian's acclaimed book, Mobility & Inclusion: An Accessible World Is An Inclusive World. Let's Make Life Accessible For All, which was published in 2020. He advised Markbotix CEO Harout Markarian in the development of A.I. robotics to enhance the independence of disabled and elderly persons with daily living tasks. And he assisted in Promoting Mediability Pro, a Database for Disabled Media Professionals with founder Kimberley Barreda in Marketing, Casting, and Advertising.
